come along with 的相似词是 go along with 。两者意义几乎一样，但是 come along with 是实质上“跟随”的意思，而 go along 除了有实质上跟随的意义之外，还能用于抽象意义上的“赞成，支持” 。

come out 和 go out 都可指从里面到外面的动作。差别在于说话者所在的位置不同。come out 是人在外面，要人从里面出来，而 go out 是人在里面，命令别人出去。
come out 作“上市”的时候，通常是指书籍的出版、电影或是流行品的上市。
come out 还有一个很特殊的用法。同性恋者公开向人表明自己的性取向称为“出柜”，英文是 come out，由 come out of the closet 简化而成；没有“出柜”的同志则是 in the closet 。电影《新郎向后跑》的英文短名是 In and Out，内容叙述的是一个自以为是异性恋的男主角终于发现并接受自己是同性恋者，然后坦然“出柜”的经过，所以短名中的 in 就是指 in thecloset，out 即指 out of the closet 。

come over 通常都是用在朋友间的拜访，是比较轻松、方便，不用发邀请函的拜访。假设今天你的朋友刚好要到你家附近，你又刚好闲着，你可以告诉他 come over and hang out with me 。（过来找我一起鬼混吧。），或是 come over and have dinner with me 。（过来和我一道吃晚餐吧。）
但是，如果今天你住在 *** ，你的朋友住在莫桑比克，你不会跟你朋友说 come over（因为实在太远了……）。有时候也可以用 come on over，或是 come by 表示 come over 。
和 come over 意义类似的短语还有 stop by 和 drop by 。不过这些短语还是有点差别。如果用 come over，是表示你和朋友会待久一点，可能会一起看电影或是一起吃饭等等。
但是如果用 stop by 和 drop by，则表示你只是顺道经过来看朋友，聊聊天，叙叙旧，不会待太久，之后可能还会有别的事。

come to 这个短语不可以用被动态。除了上面介绍的用法之外，下面列的一些说法也很常见！
如果要告诉别人自己“对利比里亚的历史一无所知”，就可以说：when it comes to the history of Liberia, I know nothing（一提到利比里亚的历史，我是一无所知）。
当你觉得情况每况愈下，不知道会糟到什么田地，英文中可以用 come 来形容，那就是 whatis it all coming to 或是 what is the world coming to 。
再举一个例子帮助读者了解：“他起先对他太太大吼大叫，现在是动粗打她，情况不知道会糟到什么地步”英文的表达方式是：
First he yelled at his wife, and then hebeat her. That was what it all came to.

come to mind 这个短语不可以有被动态，一定是“想法，意见”或“形式主语”放在句首。
come to mind 是由十三世纪的 come in mind 演变而来，这个短语常常用在一种情况：你本来记得某件事，但是一时之间忘了，突然间又想了起来，这时候就可以说 (something) comes to mind，意思就是 I think up (something)，或是 I remember (something) 。
